Alliance Ethnik was a French rap band.

history

The band was formed on the initiative of Kamel Houairi . He looked for four other children from immigrant families and recorded a demo CD with them, which helped them to sign a contract with an agency. She used them as the opening act for IAM in Paris . Then the band got a record deal .

In 1995 the album Simple et funky was released . Respect , the first single released, entered the charts internationally. In 1996 the band received the French music award Victoires de la Musique as the best new band. In 1999 the dance floor album Fat Comeback was released , on which Youssou N'Dour and De La Soul could be heard as guests. After this album it became quiet around the band. In 2002 it became known that the band had split up.
