Allied Academies
Allied Academies is a US company that claims to support scientific research and promote the exchange of knowledge. The organization consists of 14 affiliated academies, which offer scientific journals as Open Access against payment by the authors.
Since 2015, Allied Academies has been on Jeffrey Beall's list of publishers "possibly or likely to do predatory publishing ." The company is accused of selling scientific services for the publication of technical articles, the provision of which is only pretended. For a fee, Allied Academies also offers participation in scientific congresses that have been rated as dubious or fraudulent by the police. Allied Academies has a partnership with the Indian publishing group OMICS, which is also characterized as a predatory publisher . At one of their conferences in 2018, Allied Academies had a prominent chemist as an organizing committee member who never consented and who had no ties with Allied Academies.
