Personalized learning

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Personalized learning describes a teaching and learning practice in the course of the new learning culture , which is geared towards the respective individual.

The learning is based on the individual, his or her previous knowledge, experiences and interests. The learner sets learning goals alone or with the help of himself, develops them and checks the learning success. She can be supported by a coach , mentor or learning process companion. Learning is understood as an active process that the respective people control themselves and acquire their knowledge and skills themselves in certain contexts. This requires a stimulating environment (access to books, internet, materials, etc.) from which complex, authentic problems arise that need to be solved and in which the learners can exchange and reflect with others.
