WordDive is an AI (Artificial Intelligence) based online learning software and app for mobile devices. Ten languages ​​are currently offered: English , Estonian , Finnish , French , German , Italian , Japanese , Russian , Spanish and Swedish .

concept

The method is based on the use of multiple senses, individual optimization and elements of video games. Individual adaptation ensures that for a user who learns very quickly, the number of content to be actively practiced increases and the repetitions are reduced. If the user learns more slowly, the opposite happens. The aim of the exercises is that the user can begin to speak the language quickly and without great effort.

Recognition and awards

WordDive was named the best e-learning solution in Finland in 2011 and the best mobile service in Finland in 2014. In spring 2015 WordDive was named a Red Herring Europe Top 100 winner.

The company is based in Tampere , Finland . The service was launched in 2010 and is used by more than 500,000 users in over 150 countries, according to worddive.com.

In Finland and Germany , WordDive is best known for its English A-levels, which became the market leader in Finland two years after its launch in 2014. There is a grade guarantee: if the course participant completes the Abitur and does not get at least the second best grade in English, the course fee will be fully refunded.

In Germany, the company works with brand ambassador Samu Haber , the front man of the band Sunrise Avenue .

In January 2017 WordDive achieved 1.2 million euros via the crowdfunding platform Invesdor and in April 2018 1.5 million euros in Privanet.
