The All-Russian Industrial and Craft Exhibition of 1882 was held in Moscow .

The location of the fair was on the Chodynka field . It lasted from May 20th July. / June 1st greg. until September 27th jul. / October 9, 1882 greg. . 5318 exhibitors took part.

At the exhibition, an electric train from Siemens & Halske was operated for the first time . For the Petersburg jewelers Fabergé , the fair meant the breakthrough, as they succeeded in doing some valuable work on the Emperor Alexander III. for sale. For the first of the now famous Fabergé eggs , he awarded Peter Carl Fabergé a gold medal.
