Alpine song

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The songs that are mainly sung in the German-speaking Alpine countries of Bavaria , Austria and South Tyrol and deal with life on the alpine pastures , dairymen and farewell to the alpine pasture are called Alpine songs. They are usually performed slowly, often a cappella, and are part of alpine folk music . Most of them are traditional folk tunes, but new alpine songs have also emerged over time.
