Alois Jungwirth

Alois Jungwirth (born June 4, 1884 in Raab , Upper Austria , † March 24, 1946 in Linz ) was an Austrian carpenter and politician ( CS ). Jungwirth was a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag from 1925 to 1938 .

Life

Jungwirth first worked in agriculture, learned the carpentry trade at the age of 20 and became a house carpenter in an agricultural school. In 1902 he became a member of the Catholic workers' association in Schärding and had been its chairman since 1912. Before the First World War he was active as a representative of the Christian Social Party in the Schärdinger municipal council. From 1921 Jungwirth was chairman of the Upper Austrian Agricultural Workers 'Union, in 1929 he became a board member of the agricultural workers' health insurance. Finally, in 1934, he became Vice President of the Chamber of Agriculture for Upper Austria, Deputy Chairman of the Upper Austrian Farmers' Union and Deputy Reich Farmers Leader . He was removed from these offices in 1938, and in 1945 he was again head of the agricultural workers' union.

From 1925 to 1938 Jungwirth was a member of the Landtag , initially for the Christian Social Party, from 1934 for the state of agriculture and forestry.
