Alois Margreiter
Alois Margreiter (born January 21, 1956 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and management consultant. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament .
education and profession
Margreiter attended elementary and secondary school in Reith im Alpbachtal from 1962 to 1971, and between 1971 and 1976 he graduated from the federal college for alpine agriculture in Ursprung - Elixhausen . After graduating from high school , Margreiter began working as a business advisor at the Imst regional chamber of agriculture in 1977. In March 1981 he passed the qualification test for the agricultural teaching and promotion service at the Agricultural Education Academy in Vienna. From 1981 to 2013 he worked as a business and operations consultant at the District Chamber of Commerce in Kufstein.
politics
Margreiter moved into the council of the municipality of Breitenbach am Inn in 1992 and was elected vice mayor. In 2003 he was elected mayor. In this role he took on various management tasks in various associations and associations. Among other things, he is a board member of the Kufstein Hospital Association, the Leaderverein Mittleres Unterinntal and the Museum Tiroler Bauernhöfe association. Since 2006, Margreiter has also been deputy district party chairman. In the Tyrolean state elections on April 28, 2013 Margreiter headed the Kufstein district list of the Tyrolean People's Party and was directly elected to the state parliament. With 5682 preferential votes, Margreiter received the most preferential votes at district level in Tyrol.
After driving a car during which he was under the influence of alcohol, he resigned as VP traffic spokesman in early July 2017.
Private
Margreiter has been married since 1984 and has one daughter.
