Aloisia Wagner
Aloisia Wagner (* 1906 in Bremen ; † unknown) was a German-American showman.
Wagner was born without extremities . After she decided to work in show business, she adopted the stage name Rosa Violetta , which was later changed to Violetta . As a teenager, she emigrated to the United States in 1924 and soon became a celebrity. In the 1920s she appeared as a "half-woman" under the stage name Violetta in some performances of the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus and as a living attraction in the amusement park of Coney Island in New York . Despite her disability, she managed to dress herself, do her hair, light a cigarette, thread a needle, and the like. Ä. She wore her wedding ring as a pendant on a necklace.
