The Alpha Bootids are a meteor shower that can be observed from Central Europe , which is rather inconspicuous with a ZHR of 2 meteors per hour. It is named after the main star Arctur of the spring constellation, the boat , from which the shooting stars come. On April 28, the day of maximum activity, the radiant is just east of Arcturus with a right ascension of 14h 32m and a declination of + 19 °.

During the period of activity from April 14th to May 12th, the 8 ° diameter radiant shifts daily by 0.9 ° to the east and 0.1 ° to the south - to the extent by which the orbit of the earlier comet of origin was curved.
