The Alphen Eagles are a Dutch American football team from Alphen aan den Rijn , a city in South Holland . The Eagles are currently playing in the top Dutch league.

history

The Alphen Eagles were founded in 1985, played in the first season in the highest national league, in which they could only record one win this year. In the 2011 season they reached the final of the Dutch championship, the Tulip Bowl , for the first time and were subject to Maastricht there. In the next three years, the Eagles managed a title hat trick.

In the 2012 and 2013 seasons, the Alphen Eagles competed in the EFAF Cup and failed in the preliminary round. In 2014 and 2015, the Eagles took part in the European Football League .
