Altaf Tyrewala

Altaf Tyrewala (born January 1977 in Mumbai , India ) is an Indian poet, author and economist who writes in the English language.

Life

Tyrewala went to New York City after graduating , where he studied advertising and marketing. At the Baruch College there , he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 1995 . In 1999 he returned to Mumbai, where he worked as a software specialist in various companies.

Tyrewala's first publications, having turned entirely to writing since 2002, were short stories. In 2004 he was a participant in the Berlin International Literature Festival | His first novel was published in India in 2005 and has since been printed in several European languages ​​and in Marathi . In 2013 his long poem was published in English and German by the Berlin publishing house Berenberg Verlag: The Ministry of Emotions .

Tyrewala is Muslim and lives in Mumbai. He is currently working on his second novel.
