Altair in Starland is about a boy who can fly and lives in a surreal world. The inhabitants of this world have blue skin, floppy ears and a dog nose. The little shining star Blip accompanies Altair on his adventures.

The program was produced by BAF Berliner Animation Film GmbH & Co Prod. GmbH and BFC Berliner Film Companie Productions GmbH in the Hahn Film + Video GmbH studio. Directed by Gerhard Hahn . From 2001 to 2003 he wrote 52 episodes with a length of 11 minutes each. The production of the series is complete. In 2005 some episodes were released in English on DVD in collaboration with Genius Products.
