The Hahn Film AG is an animation studio that manufactures its products in both 2D animation with pencil and paper and in computer-generated imagery (CGI, a 3D Computeranimationatechnik for movies). The company was founded in 1980 by Gerhard Hahn and has been based in Berlin since 1986. There are also at least two subsidiaries, Hahn Film Co. Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and the Hahn Shin Corporation in Seoul, South Korea. In addition, the group of companies is well networked with other companies and freelance animators thanks to its many years of work in the field of animation. In general, Hahn Film AG acts as a co-producer or commissioned producer, but can also offer individual parts of the animation film production as a service from within the group of companies.

The company's productions include movies such as Werner - Beinhart! , Asterix in America , Werner - That must be a big deal !!! , Benjamin Blümchen - his most beautiful adventures and Werner - Full Rooäää !!! , TV series like Bibi Blocksberg , Benjamin Blümchen , Urmel aus dem Eis , Renaade , Simsala Grimm and The School of Little Vampires , music videos for the Guano Apes, The Princes and DJ Bobo, various commercials and some computer games.

In 1999 Hahn Film AG became a contractual business partner of Abrafaxe-Trickfilm AG alongside Universal Pictures in the joint production of the feature film The Abrafaxe - Under the Black Flag . Here the company acted as a co-producer. Gerhard Hahn held the position of the responsible director as well as the executive producer and coordinated the cooperation within the company group and with subcontractors. His colleague Anthony Power was the executive director and oversaw the internationally outsourced work on site.
