Video Kings is a German movie that was shot in March 2004. It is occupied by numerous well-known actors. Since there was only a minimal budget available for the film , it was not premiered until 2007.

Flo was left with his job in a video store. The store is about to be sold, his Italian ex-girlfriend is allegedly pregnant by him, and a debt collection company is collecting debts. When he asks his boss for more money, he flashes off. He has other worries anyway. His wife sleeps with someone else - Flo is supposed to find out with whom and make a surveillance video - and the video store is on the brink of collapse. The competition, represented by the greasy Bernhardt, wants to buy up the shop. Against this Bernhardt, Flo tries to win money in a game - and loses everything. Flo falls in love with her new neighbor, Ramona. But at first she doesn't want to know anything about him, and even with the help of his buddy Hotte, a chub with an unspeakable hairstyle, it is difficult to get her attention.
When a video is handed in for Ramona in the video store and this is exchanged for Flos surveillance video, action has to be taken. Especially Hotte panics because he is the mysterious lover. The two boys can finally convince their boss that this lover is not Hotte, but Bernhardt. In another game against Bernhardt for increased stakes, the three video libraries win everything back and renovate the video library.
Finally, the debt collection company, Flos ex-girlfriend and Spanish family and Ramona appear in the video library. In this chaos - torn between the ex and Ramona - Flo is hit by a bottle and goes up to heaven. There he meets his Guardian Angels and Capt. Reds that explain to him how to conquer Ramona. Back in "reality" he stands in front of her, a guitar hovers from the sky, he sings for her and wins her heart with it.

The film was shown on February 17, 2007 as part of the Berlinale in the Babylon cinema in Berlin-Mitte.
The official premiere took place on June 22, 2007 in Dortmund . On 6 September 2007, the film came in the rental of Madhouse Pictures GmbH & Co. KG / Barnsteiner film in theaters. There it reached 23,823 viewers and was able to bring in 106,903 euros. The budget for the film was 120,000 euros.
