The Heideroosjes ( Dutch Heideröschen ) were a punk rock band from the province of Limburg in the Netherlands .

history

It was founded in 1989 and played in the original line-up until it broke up in 2012. This consists of Marco Roelofs (vocals), Frank Kleuskens (guitar), Fred Houben (bass guitar) and Igor Hobus (drums).

The Heideroosjes are the best-known punk rock band from the Netherlands and have had since the album "Smile ... You're Dying!" signed a record deal with the world's largest punk rock label, Epitaph . Her eighth album was released for the first time since 1998 not on Epitaph, but on the Dutch record company U-Sonic Records. Background of the drop / contract expiry are not known. They owe their fame to their frequent concerts in Central Europe, especially in Germany , Belgium , Austria and the Netherlands .

Her music contains a lot of elements from Poppunk and Hardcore . The texts are mostly English and Dutch, more rarely German.

De Heideroosjes played five concerts in Germany since the beginning of 2019 (as support for Wizo ). A few more concerts and festival appearances in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany are planned for the end of the year. However, it remained open whether a permanent reunion can be expected.
