Gerd Hahn

Gerd Jürgen Hahn (* 1981 in Balingen ) is a German economist and professor of business administration . He holds an endowed professorship for Operations Management and Process Innovation at the German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) in Heilbronn .

Life

After graduating from the Business School Albstadt graduated Hahn from 2001 studied business administration at the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and the University of Antwerp , where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration of 2006. He worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company from 2007 to 2012 and received his doctorate in economics (Dr. rer. Pol.) From the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in 2011. In 2013 Hahn accepted an offer at the University of Mannheim for an endowed junior professorship for supply chain management .

Hahn has been Professor of Operations Management and Process Innovation at the German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) in Heilbronn since April 2015. He is the author of refereed specialist articles, conference and book contributions as well as a reviewer for various specialist journals and funding agencies. His main research areas include value-based supply chain management , robust planning and control of production systems , IT systems in operations management and automotive supply chains .

Hahn is a former scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation and winner of the Knowledge Competition Logistics Masters 2006 of the specialist magazine VerkehrsRundschau . In 2010 he was awarded the “Horst Wildemann Prize for innovative management concepts” as the best paper award for young scientists from the Scientific Commission for Production Management in the Association of University Lecturers for Business Administration .
