Old chapel

The old chapel is a former Protestant chapel in the Brandenburg municipality of Leegebruch .

history

The construction of the chapel goes back to the building contractor Heinrich Mendelssohn . He was the owner of the neighboring estates Pinnow and Antonienhof and donated the money to the poor community to build a prayer house. The consecration took place on November 30, 1930. A mortuary was also built with the chapel.

The chapel served as a sacred building until 1975 and was then used for other purposes. After the political change in the GDR, it was restored with the help of private donations and has served as a meeting room ever since.

description

The chapel was built in the Expressionist style in wood construction with a surrounding pergola .

On May 3, 1994 it was placed under monument protection.
