In 1603 the nave was rebuilt while retaining the Gothic portals. The double onion hood was put on in 1694. In 1791 the church was stuccoed and renovated.
architecture
The baroque nave and the Gothic choir are under a common gable roof. The church is surrounded by a cemetery. The north tower has a double onion hood. In the west the church has an open sign with a pent roof up to the cemetery wall.
The nave with architectural painting decor has flat arched windows. In the south wall of the nave there is a beveled pointed arch portal with a side circular window, on the left is a fresco of Christophorus by Andreas Mayr (17th century) and a Maria with child by Julius Wehinger (1933), on the right a guardian angel with Tobias by Martin Häusle (1933). In the west facade there is a Gothic pointed arch portal with a three-throated reveal, crossed ribs and two round bars, on the left is a fresco of Christophorus (around 1530), on the right two saints. The choir with a three-eighth closure has pointed arched windows and in the southeast a sundial with the Austrian shield . The north tower (around 1390) consists of exposed stone masonry, has Gothic tracery sound openings and a baroque onion hood. To the north of the tower and nave is a two-storey sacristy with pointed arched windows, and a two-storey sacristy under a pent roof on the north side of the choir.
The interior of the church has a flat barrel vault in the nave over a cranked cornice on narrow wall pilasters with stucco capitals and flat arched windows. The two-bay choir with a three-eighth closure has a ribbed vault on consoles. The west gallery above a flat ceiling has a curved parapet with the paintings 'Jesus drives the traders from the temple', 'circumcision', 'the adoration of the child' and 'the adoration of the kings'.
In the choir on the left there are Gothic frescoes: the death of Mary, the coronation of Mary and in the stitch caps the birth of Christ and the Ascension (around 1480).
There are also numerous frescoes in rococo cartouches in the nave and choir with depictions of saints by Josef Anton Schuler (1791) with stucco by Johann Jakob Ruf (1791).
Furnishing
The high altar with a four-pillar structure and an open, cranked entablature shows the image of the Adoration of the Magi and St. Nikolaus, probably by the painter Christian Müller, and bears the figures Josef and Joachim and on the entablature angels and putti and a tabernacle cross, all by Josef Klemens Witwer (1791).
