Old school (husby)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Old school in Husby in the street Zum Dorfteich 7 is one of the cultural monuments of the municipality.

background

The numbers 1826 are attached to the school building as the construction date. So it was probably built at the time when the botanist Lars Hansen was a teacher there from 1822 to 1850. The building was built as a one-story brick building with a thatched roof shaped like a half- hipped roof . The school building of the old school is today, for historical and urbanistic reasons under monument protection provided.

A few decades ago, the old school was still part of a thatched roof ensemble that was to be found around the Husbyer village pond. To the north of the old school there was a thatched roof building at Zum Dorfteich 9 ( Lage ), which was part of an old farm, but which was demolished in 2015. Small houses were built on this area. The local Husbys primary school is located directly south of the old school. In the neighborhood, north of the village pond, there is another facility for children at Zum Dorfteich 8 ( Lage ), the children's house, where children and young people find a home. This building also apparently had a thatched roof in the past. The thatched roof was preserved in the neighboring building at Zum Dorfteich 6 ( location ).
