In the old tribute jujube garden of the village of Juguan ( Chinese  聚 馆 古 贡 枣园 , Pinyin Juguan gugong zaoyuan ), city of Huanghua , Hebei Province , People's Republic of China , over 1,000 mu of "winter jujuben " ( 冬枣 , dongzao , English Chinese winter jujube ) grow . The 1067 bushes are very old. It is said that the youngest trees are already over 100 years old, 198 over 600 years old. "Winter jujubes " ripen much later than other types of jujubes, between late autumn and early winter. The "winter jujubes of Huanghua" ( 黄骅 冬枣 , Huanghua dongzao , English Huanghua winter jujube ) served as a tribute to the emperors. This pristine grove is the oldest and largest of its kind in China. The Old Tribute Jujube Garden in Juguan Village has been on the List of Monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-1080) since 2006 .
