The house, which is now privately owned, is located at Römerstrasse 54 in Thorr , one of the 15 districts of the district town of Bergheim in the Rhein-Erft district . The building is under monument protection and is registered with monument number 95 in the list of architectural monuments in Thorr .

History and architecture

The house at Römerstrasse 54 was built shortly after 1850. It is an eaves residential building with plastered brick masonry . Its two floors rise above a high, stepped base in which there are rectangular cellar windows. The street facade - just like the rear - is divided into three axes by high rectangular windows with stone sills and timber shutters. It has corner blocks and plaster grooves that alternate on the ground floor with plastered boss blocks . To the upright rectangular central entrance with stone edging for a two-flight staircase. On the side is a lower, later built brick farm building, which was probably shortened.

The property was originally built as a rectory and was used as such until 1969. Then it went into private ownership.
