Old Town Hall (Dürrenzimmern)

Old town hall in Dürrenzimmern

The old town hall in Dürrenzimmern , a district of Brackenheim in the Heilbronn district in Baden-Württemberg , was built in 1732.

The building was erected as a half-timbered house on a stone base and still has a former market hall with arched gates in the basement. Above the portal, the building is dated to 1732, above the year you can see an ax that also appears in Dürrenzimmern's coat of arms.

After the office rooms were moved to the upper floor of the school house in 1969 and finally after Dürrenzimmern was incorporated into Brackenheim in 1971, the town hall lost its function and was sold to private individuals who renovated the building and operated an antiques trade in it. The building, again in great need of renovation, is now used for residential purposes.
