The Old Town Hall of Musselburgh is located in the Scottish city ​​of Musselburgh in the East Lothian Council Area . In 1971 the building was included in the Scottish List of Monuments in the highest category A.

The building was built in 1762, which makes it more recent than the Tolbooth, which was built in the 1590s . In 1875 the town hall was redesigned and renovated in 1885 and 1901.

The old town hall is located in the historic center of Musselburgh. The historic Tolbooth von Musselburgh stretches along the High Street ( A199 ) , almost completely covering the side of the town hall. The visible front opposite the market cross faces east. It is three axes wide. The brickwork is rusticated on the ground floor . Three wide arched openings are worked with stylized keystones , with a central entrance portal being flanked by windows. Lattice windows are installed on the upper floor of the two-story town hall . The central window crowned aTriangular gables , while segment gables were used on the outer windows . The entrance on the first floor is accessible via an angled front staircase. The town hall shares this entrance with the Tolbooth. The building closes with a slate hipped roof . Behind the transverse main building is a substantial extension from the 19th century.
