Old school house (Oberderdingen)
The old school building in Oberderdingen , a municipality in the district of Karlsruhe ( Baden-Württemberg ), is an elementary school building built in 1891/92 . The building at Heinfelser Platz 1 is a protected architectural monument .
history
The building was used as a school from 1892 to 1936 and then served the female Reich Labor Service until 1945 . From 1945 to 1948, the Oberderdingen school was again housed in it, and after that there were commercial rooms, apartments and a youth center in the large three-story building.
Todays use
In 2004 the building was converted into a conference center and was named “Forum Oberderdingen”.
