Althoff Seamount
Coordinates: 66 ° 12 ′ S , 16 ° 35 ′ W
The Althoff Seamount is a deep sea mountain in the Southern Ocean far off the Princess Martha coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land .
Since April 2003 it has been named after the Prussian cultural politician Friedrich Althoff (1839–1908), patron of the German oceanographic Valdivia expedition (1898–1899) under the direction of Carl Chun .
