Old Reich flag

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Wehrverband Altreichsflagge (ARF) was a right-wing extremist paramilitary association founded by Willy Liebel in Nuremberg . It was founded as a spin-off from the Wehrverband Reichsflagge from November 1923 to January 1924. This was probably triggered by conflicts that the leader of the "Reichsflagge" Adolf Heiss had had with some of the younger members of the organization.

The spatial focus of the association was primarily in Nuremberg and its Franconian and Upper Palatinate region. In March 1924, the ARF had around 1,400 members in Nuremberg, including around 500 former members of the "Reichsflagge" military association.
