The Alu is a 429 meter high volcano in northeast Ethiopia , immediately northwest of the conical Dalaffilla volcano . It was mainly formed from basaltic lava flows that poured out of crevices. There are several areas of fumarolic activity. Some large-volume basaltic lava flows extend to Lake Bakili . There is no known outbreak.
