The Alvear Palace Hotel is a hotel in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires . It is located in the Recoleta district on Avenida Alvear 1891. The hotel opened on September 2, 1932 and has been part of the “Architectural and Historical Heritage of the City of Buenos Aires” (Patrimonio Arquitectónico e Histórico de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires) since 2005. The building has twelve floors and was built by the architects Valentín Brodsky and Estanislao Pirovano. It belongs to the alliance The Leading Hotels of the World .
