The building complex with the postal address Am Kütertor 1 consists of three listed buildings in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund in the street Am Kütertor .

The two-storey eaves house on the corner of Knieperwall was built around 1690 as a water art by the builder Jochim Zwolle. The Göpel for the water supply were housed in the building with half-timbered construction on the upper floor and on the gable side .

Between this house Knieperwall and in the Mill Road located Kampischen courtyard was in the 1877 New waterworks built an octagonal tower from brick .

The two -storey house directly at the former city gate, called the Wall House, is of medieval origin and has been changed several times over the years.

The buildings are located in the core area of ​​the city ​​area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ Historic Old Towns Stralsund and Wismar ”. They are entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 20.

For a long time the buildings were used as the youth hostel “Am Kütertor”. Extensive renovation and renovation work has been carried out on the complex since 2011.
