Amadou O. Khan stood in the 1997 election to parliament as a candidate for the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) in the constituency of Jokadu in the Kerewan Administrative Area . With 60.63% he was able to win the constituency before Baba Abu Khan (UDP) for himself. In the 2002 parliamentary election , Khan ran again in the same constituency. Since there was no opposing candidate from the opposition, he was able to win the constituency for himself. For the following election in 2007 Khan did not run in the constituency. The elections to the Parliament in 2012 , he joined again. Since there was again no opponent from the opposition, he was able to win the constituency for himself. Khan did not run for the 2017 parliamentary election .
