The Île D'Ambre is located on the north coast of Mauritius . The approximately 140 hectare, rocky island is about 400 m from Mauritius. Many butterflies are native to the island . There is also a large number of indigenous trees such as palm trees , mangroves or the pines and tecoma that are reforested here . The island is part of a nature reserve in Mauritius.
