List of rose varieties

The rose variety Amber Queen (s. Amber amber ) is also known as the 'Prince Eugene of Savoy' in the trade. It was produced by the English breeder Harkness by crossing 'Southampton' × 'Typhoon' and introduced in 1984.

description

The floribunda rose blooms continuously all season. Its amber-colored, well-filled flowers have a pleasantly spicy scent and are extremely rainproof. The leaves are initially bronze-green, later leathery and dark green.

As a robust, broadly bushy growing rose variety with a height of approx. 40 - 60 cm, it is a popular choice for bedding. It is hardy to −23 ° C ( USDA zone 6 ).

In 2010, 'Amber Queen' was named the 'Platinum Rose of The Hague', a special prize that was given to one of the previous Golden Roses by the International Selection Committee on the occasion of the fiftieth Rose Show in The Hague.
