Ambrose Derry
Ambrose Derry is one of the leading politicians and lawyers in Ghana . Between April 2005 and July 2007 he was the regional minister of the Upper West Region in Ghana. On August 1, 2007, he became Minister of State in the Department of Justice and the Attorney General under Minister Joe Ghartey . It also has special significance in the ruling New Patriotic Party . Derry is a member of the Ghanaian parliament for the constituency of Lawra.
As a lawyer in 2004, Derry was the defender of the former minister of youth and sport, Mallam Yusuf Isa , who was seriously suspected of corruption . President John Agyekum Kufuor immediately dismissed Mallam Yusuf Isa from office because of the serious allegations of corruption and took legal action. Isa is suspected of embezzling $ 46,000.
