Amelia Pidgeon (* 2001 in Torquay ) is a young actress. Her role as the young Natascha Kampusch is her first engagement in front of the film camera.

Life

Amelia Pidgeon was born in 2001 in Agatha Christie's hometown of Torquay and grew up in the village of Moretonhampstead in Dartmoor National Park in Devon . Her father Steve is a blacksmith, her mother Nicola a hairdresser. She has two older brothers and a younger sister.

Amelia was cast in the role of the young Natascha Kampusch without any previous acting experience. Her friend Emily took her to the house of a school friend whose cats she was going to visit. The boy's mother is the casting agent Pippa Hall, who noticed a similarity between Amelia and the young Natascha Kampusch.
