American Guild of Organists

The American Guild of Organists (AGO) is the national organization of church and concert organists in the USA and was founded in 1896 (based in New York City ). It is divided into individual sub-organizations ("Chapters", including the European Chapter founded in 1979) and is the publisher of the monthly journal "The American Organist". Membership is not limited to professional organists, but is open to those interested in organ .
