American Nurses Association Hall of Fame
The American Nurses Association Hall of Fame (German: Hall of Fame of the American Professional Association for Professional Nurses ) is an honor given by the ANA to outstanding nurses whose lifelong dedication to the profession and successes have had a lasting impact on nursing. The honor is considered to be the most prestigious nursing award from the ANA. The award has been given since 1976, initially irregularly, but since 2010 the awards have been given every two years. In the first round of awards, those honored had to have died, but this regulation was changed.
