American Physiological Society

The American Physiological Society , abbreviated to APS , is a scientific organization that deals with all aspects of physiological research. It is based in Bethesda, Maryland . The society was founded in 1887 by 28 members. In the first few years after it was founded, the company took care of expanding research and teaching in the field of physiology . In 1898 the American Journal of Physiology was founded. The society now has around 10,500 members and publishes both specialist books and twelve specialist journals.
