Landscape protection area grassland belt on Südfeld
The landscape protection area Grünlandgürtel am Südfeld with 54.81 hectares is located southeast of Altenbüren in the urban area of Brilon . The area was designated as a landscape protection area (LSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the landscape plan of the Brilon plateau . The LSG consists of two sub-areas. The LSG is used for grassland. The LSG begins directly on the south-eastern edge of Altenbüren. The nature reserve Warenberg , the nature reserve Südfeld and the nature reserve Briloner Kalkplateau and Randhöhen border the LSG .
The LSG grassland belt on the southern field was designated as LSG type B, peripheral locations and landscape character . Among other things, it is forbidden to erect buildings. First afforestation, the new planting of Christmas tree cultures, ornamental branches and tree nursery cultures are also prohibited.
Commandments
According to the expulsion, various commandments have been set. The LSG is to be kept free of forest through agricultural use and maintenance measures. Fallow areas are to be mowed in sections every three years to prevent encroachment. Mowing must not take place before August 1st in order not to destroy broods. When mowing, the cuttings must be transported away. If necessary, fruit trees should be replanted on orchards. Dead fruit trees are to be left as habitat trees. The hedges are to be put on the floor every ten to 15 years, with individual trees being left in place. The hedge work may only be carried out from October 1st to February 28th.
