Amiga quartet

Under the name Amiga quartet who published VEB German records under the label Amiga 1980 to 1990 records in single format (17 cm, 45 / min), each with two titles each side, for a total of four titles. The first Amiga quartet record contained titles by Amanda Lear . Occasionally there was only one piece on a page, but it was too long.

The Amiga-Quartet-Logo, specially created for these issues, was affixed in a corner of the front of the cover .

The format was for all areas of popular music used. There were editions with folk music, pop music, film music, instrumental music, comedy and, above all, rock and pop.

Editions with Western interpreters were particularly popular in the GDR, including Nena , Falco , Rio Reiser , Elton John and John Lennon and groups such as Deep Purple and The Cure .
