Amety Meria

Améty Meria , also Amity Méria , actually Mariam Dramé (born before 1993) is a musician from Burkina Faso who sings mainly in the Dioula language .

Life

Mariam Dramé studied art and literature at the University of Ouagadougou and was appointed to the university's orchestra. In 1990 she recorded a first album that won her a second prize in a local competition and toured the country.

Her more melodic than rhythmic songs address women's rights, prostitution and African unity, among other things.
