Hella Dunger-Löper
Hella Dunger-Löper (born December 21, 1951 in Hildesheim ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2004 to 2011 she was State Secretary in the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development. From December 2011 to December 2016 she represented the State of Berlin as an authorized representative at the federal government .
biography
Hella Dunger passed her Abitur examination in 1970. She then studied literature , political science and history at the Technical University of Hanover and the Technical University of Berlin until 1977 , completing a Magistra Artium .
She then worked at the International Office of the Technical University of Berlin. From 1993 to 2004 she worked in the public relations department of the private university ESCP Europe Campus Berlin .
Dunger-Löper is currently chairman of the board of directors of the Deutsche Klassenlotterie Berlin .
Political career
Dunger-Löper joined the SPD in 1977.
Member of Parliament (1999-2004)
She was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1999 to 2004, most recently as Chair of the Main Committee.
Offices
District Councilor (1989–1992)
From 1989 to 1992 Dunger-Löper was elected district councilor for public education in the Wilmersdorf district.
State Secretary (2004–2011)
From 2004 she was State Secretary for Building and Housing in the Senate Department for Urban Development, led by Ingeborg Junge-Reyer (SPD).
Authorized Representative at the Federal Government and European Commissioner for the State of Berlin (2011-2016)
After the elections to the House of Representatives in 2011, Dunger-Löper was appointed as the successor to Monika Helbig as the Federal Commissioner, Commissioner for Europe of the State of Berlin and Commissioner for Civic Engagement with the rank of State Secretary. She reports to the Department for Federal and European Affairs in the Berlin Senate Chancellery.
On December 8, 2016, Dunger-Löper was put into temporary retirement .
