Amnesty for Women

Amnesty for Women is a women's rights organization that was founded in 1981 by Cheryl Benard and Edit Schlaffer in Vienna . Similar to Terre des Femmes , Amnesty for Women was founded because a deficit was seen in terms of engagement against human rights violations specifically because of the female gender.

The German branch of Amnesty for Women was founded in Hamburg in 1986 . According to their own information, their goals are “public relations, lobbying and grassroots work”.
