Gerald Horvath (born February 14, 1978 in Linz ) is a former Austrian triathlete .

Career

He has been running triathlons since 1993 and is mainly active on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running). In 2006 he became the Austrian Junior State Triathlon Champion in Mariahof. From 2002 to 2007 he was mainly involved in the ITU Triathlon World Cup to qualify for the Olympic Games . After narrowly failing in 2004 and 2008, he ended his international career.

Horvath has been an entrepreneur in the sports industry since the end of his international career. Today he lives in Neußerling in the Mühlviertel and has been working for the start-up enduranceboard.com since 2015, which shows the results of endurance sports.

In some cases, he also starts in various smaller national triathlon and running competitions, mainly in Upper Austria and the surrounding area.
