The language Amo (also amon , among , ba , timap ; ISO 639-3: amo) is a platoid language from the group of the Eastern Kainji languages , used by a total of 12,300 people (as of 2000) from the ethnic group of the same name in the Nigerian states Plateau and Kaduna is spoken.

The members of the ethnic group call themselves Amap , the self-name for the language is timap. The language uses the Latin alphabet as its writing system.
