Amoricide is an American thrash metal band from Fort Worth , Texas that was formed in 2002.
history
The band was formed in mid-2002 by bassist Chris Lewis. A short time later the guitarists John and Josh joined the band. Together they developed some songs. In 2002 Josh Underwood left the band again. Angel Hernandez had previously joined the band as drummer. His cousin Ivan joined the group shortly afterwards as a guitarist and singer. In September 2003 the band recorded their first demo called Give Me Metal Or Give Me Death . Several gigs followed until Ivan left the band. Bassist Lewis now also took over the position of singer. The band continued their concerts playing in the Dallas area . Josh Underwood returned to the band in late 2003 after John left the band. His cousin Ryan briefly joined the band as a singer, but left it a little later, so that Lewis took over the vocals again.
In late 2004, the recordings for the debut album The Essence of Evil began . The album was recorded, mixed and produced by Mike T at the Sonic Research Lab . After the recordings, drummer Angel Hernandez left the band and was briefly replaced by John, who left the band a short time later. The new guitarist was someone with the same name, but said goodbye a short time later. Juan Ochoa joined the band as the new drummer some later.
In 2009 their debut album was released again through Metal Rising Records . Her second album was released in 2011, the second album called Storm of Violence was released.

The band plays classic Thrash Metal, which can be compared to the old works of Slayer .
