Amparito Farrar
Amparito Farrar (1893 in Oregon - 1989) was an American opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Little is known about Farrar, who was not related to Geraldine Farrar . A few concert appearances in American cities can be traced, for example in May 1919 in Lawrence , Massachusetts . There she sang in a concert performance of Gounod's Faust alongside Paul Althouse .
Her voice, a beautifully educated lyrical soprano, has been preserved on three Columbia records.
