Amphidamas (Egypt)
Amphidamas ( ancient Greek Ἀμφιδάμας Amphidámas , also Ἰφιδάμας Iphidámas ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
He is the son of the Egyptian king Busiris . As the priest of Osiris , Busiris is obliged to bring a human sacrifice to God every year. In preparation for this he succeeds in overpowering Heracles , who is now about to be sacrificed. Heracles, however, is able to free himself and kills Busiris and Amphidamas. Pherecydes narrates as the name Iphidamas.
