Amphimedon (Comrade of Phineus)
Amphimedon ( ancient Greek Ἀμφιμέδων ) is a person from Greek mythology .
Amphimedon comes from Libya and is one of Phineus' comrades . Phineus was the fiancé of Andromeda , who was to be sacrificed to the sea monster Ketos . Perseus, inflamed in love, kills the monster and is supposed to have Andromeda as his wife as a reward. During the wedding there is a fight between Phineus and Perseus, in which Amphimedon loses his life.
