The Carlshafen office was an administrative and judicial district of the Electorate of Hesse from 1814 to 1821 .

After the end of the Kingdom of Westphalia , the Landgraviate of Hessen-Kassel was re-established in 1813 as the Electorate of Hessen. The old administrative structure was restored and the Trendelburg office was rebuilt . In 1814, the cities of Carlshafen and Helmarshausen , the village of Langenthal and Hasselhof were spun off from the Trendelburg office as a separate Carlshafen office. In the Kingdom of Westphalia there had been a canton of Karlshafen ; However, this one had a completely different cut.

In 1821, the separation of jurisdiction from administration was introduced in Kurhessen . Administrative tasks were taken over by the Hofgeismar district and the judicial authorities in Karlshafen . The Carlshafen office was canceled.
